RANDY MAYFIELD Bio.

Randy Mayfield is an accomplished singer, songwriter who has traveled extensively, both in the U.S. and internationally to more than 80 countries. He has performed in venues as diverse as the Fox Theater, Powell Concert Hall and the Sheldon Theater in St. Louis, The Grand Old Opry and the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, TN. and he has played in concert halls all over Great Britain, Europe and the former Soviet Union. In Sept. of 2019, he performed for more than 100,000 people at the Thanksgiving Festival in Kyiv, Ukraine.  Randy also has performed on the Jerry Lewis telethon in Las Vegas and was an “extra” in the movie, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”  He recently appeared in season five as a Sadducee in the TV series, “The Chosen” and in season three in the “Feeding of the 5000” along with his wife, Sharon.

Randy has performed concerts and shared in numerous Federal and local prisons across the country.

He has produced seven solo albums and a best selling album for the St. Louis Cardinals entitled, “A Cardinal Christmas,” which was the number one record in Dec. 1993 in St. Louis.  Randy wrote the song, “The Rally Squirrel” that was aired  nationally on Fox Sports during the 6th game of the World Series.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2J7Tkq_ZTU&t=13s

Randy has sung the National anthem all over the US for MLB games including the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, KC Royals, Milwaukee Brewers and many others. He has also sung for the STL Blues, NASCAR and for almost 20 years for the St. Louis Rams and most recently for the UFL “Battlehawks.”

Randy has served as the host of numerous successful radio programs including, “The Heart of the Sport,” featuring professional athletes and the “Sunshine Show” featuring the top CCM musicians. He was frequently a guest host for “Larry Conners USA” in St. Louis.  Randy  also appeared weekly on national television and performed on TV specials with many great musicians including Natalie Cole, Dionne Warwick, Mel Torme, Robert Goulet , Jerry Lewis and several others that anyone younger than 50 would probably not know!!

Randy is an ordained minister with a B.S. and M.A. in Communications and a Doctor of Divinity degree from the Irpin Seminary in Kyiv, Ukraine.  He and his wife, Sharon, reside in West St. Louis County, Missouri. They have two grown children, Amanda Mayfield Morman (and her husband Brian) who live in Ohio, and their son, Justin, who is a musician and lives in Oakland, CA  with his wife Greeshma.  Randy & Sharon have two wonderful grandchildren, Afton & Kellen Morman.

Randy Mayfield sings for the 2019 Thanksgiving and Prayer concert in Kyiv, Ukraine. He was accompanied by the Kyiv Youth Orchestra and members of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. More than 110,000 people gathered to hear music and messages through the day.  The all day event took place in Sept. of 2019.

Randy served as the Missions & Outreach pastor at the Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis  for 41 years. He led a number of mission trips and preached around the world each year.  He served on the board of the Bible Faith College and Ministries in Kenya,  Africa, Presbyterian Mission International  (PMI) at Covenant Theological Seminary.  He also  served on the advisory board of the St. Louis Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes and chaired the Church advisory committee for “Christian Day at the Ballpark” with the St. Louis Cardinals.  Randy was the chaplain for the Clayton Police Department  for more than 15 years and he regularly led chapel services for the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals and St. Louis Rams football teams for over 20 plus years.
