Randy Mayfield is an accomplished singer, songwriter who has traveled extensively, both in the U.S. and internationally to more than 90 countries. In addition to his live performances in venues as diverse as the Fox Theater, Powell Concert Hall and the Sheldon Theater in St. Louis, The Grand Old Opry and the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, The Long Beach Arena he has played in concert halls all over Great Britain, Europe and the former Soviet Union. In Sept. of 2019, he performed for more than 100,000 people at the Thanksgiving Day Festival in Kiev, Ukraine.
Randy has performed concerts and shared in numerous Federal and local prisons across the country including Marion and Menard in Illinois, Farmington, Gumbo & Potosi Correctional Centers and the St. Louis County Jail in Missouri and San Quinten the Chino Men’s prisons in California.
Randy has appeared on national television and radio programs and has sung the National Anthem at several major sporting events including for the Missouri Valley Conference NCAA Basketball tournament, the St. Louis Rams Football team and Monday Night Football as well singing for Major League Baseball games in Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee and for his hometown St. Louis Cardinals as well as many other ballparks.
He’s opened concerts for several well known Christian artists including Stephen Curtis Chapman, Jaci Valesquez, the Imperials and others and he has performed in recent years with symphony orchestras in Russia, Hungary, England and Iraq featuring music from his new CD, “Classic Randy Mayfield.” His performances usually include a heavy dose of humor mixed with his musical talent and sincerity.
Randy is an ordained minister and has a B.S. and M.A. in Communications and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Irpin Seminary in Kiev, Ukraine. He and his wife, Sharon, reside in West St. Louis County, Missouri. They have two grown children, Amanda Mayfield Morman (married to Brian,) who is a teacher in Alaska; and their son, Justin who is a musician/photographer and lives in San Francisco, California. Randy served as the Missions & Outreach pastor at the Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis for 41 years. He led a number of mission trips and preached around the world each year. Randy served on the board of the Bible Faith College and Ministries in Kenya, Africa, Presbyterian Mission International (PMI) at Covenant Theological Seminary. He has served on the advisory board of the St. Louis Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes and chaired the Church advisory committee for “Christian Day at the Ballpark” with the St. Louis Cardinals. Randy serves as chaplain for the Clayton Police Department and regularly led chapel services for the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals and St. Louis Rams football team over the past 20 plus years.
